A new bookshop in your town
Shangri-la, bookshop specialized in medieval and Asian literatures will open soon. The opening will be held on April 20th, 2021 from 10 AM to 5PM and the two next days. Make sure to come!
We are very happy to announce you that a new bookshop will open near Bellecour place in Lyon. Shangri-la bookshop is specialized in medieval and Asian literatures. We hope that you will come to see us.
Bookshop Shangri-la will opened for the first time on April 19th 2021. Opening day will be on April 20th 2021 and we hope to see many of you here.
The choice of the name Shangri-la for our bookshop is a reference to the book of James Hilton, Lost Horizon. Shangri-la is described as a calm area with beautiful landscapes and where the time is stopped. This story is maybe drawn by the myth of Shambhala, a country where people can learn Kalachakra (principal support of the teaching of Tibetan buddhism) conveys by Buddha. Only a few people with a good karma can find this place.
This is the image that we wanted to give to people when they come to our bookshop. A place where they can take their time to find the book they want, where they can stay the time they want and find maybe peace of mind for a time. We created this bookshop for customers, and our first criterion is to make them happy by different ways.
On the opening day, a presentation a bookshop will be made. Events like readings will be organized. You will be able to ask us all the questions you want about the bookshop and we will try our best to answer. Plus, you will receive at our arrival a bag with the logo of the bookshop which will contains papers, pen, and a brochure.

You will find a presentation of the bookshop but also the books present in our shelves and a link to order books that you didn’t find on our bookshop. You will be also able to contact us if you want to propose a partnership or send candidatures.
Other information
The website of the bookshop will contain four pages. The first one will present the bookshop and the events organized. In the second one, people will be able to find information to contact the bookshop (email address, links to social networks). There will be a link on the first page for order books.
A flyer will be created to communicate about the opening day of the bookshop. It will be sent to the journalists and publishers and people will be received in their letterbox. The flyers will be distributed in the city and present in the most important places (town hall, museums, libraries, etc).
An article will be published on the city hall magazine and website. The flyer will also be used as advertising inside the city hall magazine.
